Question 4–How did you use media technologies in the construction ,research, planning and evaluation stages
This is our question four evaluation for our music video, we thought throughly about what elements we used and what we need to put in to the the question and we thought about the software we used and how we incorporated them into our tasks.

Question Two – How effective Is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
Question Two – How effective Is the combination of your main product and ancillary texts?
When deconstructing our ancillary tasks which consist of an advert & digipak, we wanted them to have a running theme throughout them to make the audience aware what we were doing and to show our brand identity. We wanted to replicate the feeling of the heartache displayed in our music video.
We put on our thinking caps and thought of colors which represented it, we picked colors such as pinks and purples as this represents love, but the darkness of the purple can show the dark side and show that she is hurting.
We wanted include important visual elements such as how “LeAnn rimes” was going to be represented as she is a well know country star and people need to be able to relate to it and be able to pick it of shelf’s, and know her brand identity.
Our digipak we saw as a challenge as we knew we had get it right if we wanted our audience to buy it, as the audience has certain expectations.
In the music video the lead signer has natural ginger hair, but then on the digipak she has purple hair, this is to try and get people to follow trend and relaise that people can be different, and its not a shame to stand out from the crowd.
We used lots Photoshop effects to make it look as if the Jewels which are displayed were real, to give it a prestigious effect also has a meaning of everyone is a gem, and although we go through darkness at times, there is always light that can come out of it, this therefore giving our audience message.
We looked at several digipaks with six panes to see what conventions we need at abide by.
on our digipak we have little thank you message from Leann rimes saying thank you buying her album she goes onto say thanks love Leann at the end we did this because it adds personalization to the product,and hopefully will make the audience look up artist and respect her.
our video could have been lot better than it actually is, although footage is dark and grey in this we can say that this represents the heartache of the song.

Advert
As you can see by advert we have used media convergene as we have advirtised you can download the song on i tunes as well, this seems to big hit in the industry these days, as people can put it onto their portable devices easily, and then they can listen to it on the go. We have cleverly marketed our song for download as we have said that we are only going to charge 79p for it, hopefully this will increase sales, and help us soar the charts.
Digipak
This digipak takes into account conventions of a music a real package, as you can see it has the barcode,track listening ect that would be on a real product. Doing our digipak and advert we have tried to keep the theme of nature running through, we decided do this by using brushes of flowers and flour deli designs, to represent the issue of the song, but putting these in black, addresses the heartbreak issues she is going through in regards to the song, we also linked the advert in doing this.
